I do not want my house to be walled in on all sides and my windows to be stuffed. I want the cultures of all the lands to be blown about my house as freely as possible. When I Asked God for Happiness He Showed Me Some Unhappy People,
When I Asked God for Wealth He Showed Me How to Work Hard,
When I Asked God for Favors He Showed Me Opportunities to Work Hard,

Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen - Prayer of Sant Francis of Assisi

"You are the makers of your own fortunes. You make yourselves suffer, you make good and evil, and it is you who put your hands before your eyes and say it is dark. Take your hands away and see the light."

"Who will give the world light? Sacrifice in the past has been the Law, it will be, alas, for ages to come. The earth's bravest and best will have to sacrifice themselves for the good of many, for the welfare of all."

"Come out into the universe of Light. Everything in the universe is yours, stretch out your arms and embrace it with love. If you ever felt you wanted to do that, you have felt God." - Swami Vivekananda

I love this as it is so true but so difficult to actually attain but we can certainly try and practice as always trying and practicing is not failing even when you do not reach the goal that you wish to attain as the true joy and wisdom comes is in being present in the journey.
